New York Magazine
New York Magazine, a timely and important standard of New York City living, was purchased from Primedia Group in 2004. Triumvant was enlisted to identify which technology was part of the acquisition, and to migrate the existing website and technology to the new ownership. Initial engagement consisted of CMS evalutation, migration and the implementation of search, user registration, and internal team building.
The migration was set to a very tight five month timeframe. A full inventory of the legacy systems, what would stay and what would be replaced was the initial task. Staffing developers and administrators to meet those requirements quickly followed. The team was solid.
Communicating and coordinating all the stakeholders with the technical process, and making sure the online magazine never missed an issue were critical goals. The project was a great success, involving the implementation of a new search system and user system, and cutting over to the new systems without a hitch. Triumvant continued to work with New York Magazine on various projects for the following 3 years.
